Hmm.. Well.. Time to pen some thoughts..
Let's start from ytd. How should I say? It's a day filled with learning experiences, but definitely, NOT FUN AT ALL..
Learning point 1: 钱难赚
Yup.. Money is really very difficult to earn.. Especially yesterday.. Was working as an usher for an award ceremony for the Hindi film industry.. It was super chaotic okay! I've never seen so many Indians together! And the thing is.. They are super rowdy.. When the doors aren't opened, they are already super duper eager to run in.. and when the doors opened.. they flooded the whole ballroom.. And they basically just kept complaining about this and that, and the funny thing is.. THEY LIKE TO SIT ANYWHERE THEY LIKE!
There's a situation whereby.. Mr A sat on seat No. 47, which belongs to Miss B. So when I checked Mr A's ticket, which was supposed to be No. 42, I realised there's someone else sitting there. So in the end, I gave up and asked Miss B to take another seat (DON'T WANT TO CARE ANYMORE!)
And these people, eg. ticket says Section 304, row AJ, Seat 68. Some people would just ignore the row alphabets, and just pick any row with the no 68 on it.. -.-
A funny Indian told me this, you know it's so far from here, can I seat in front? You see my face, so innocent...
Me: (ready to puke, coz he's a 30-40+ person, telling me he's INNOCENT! prob his dictionary needs some revision ya?) Sorry sir, we are running a full house, and we cannot relocate seats for you..
Indian: (said sth.....) See my face, so innocent.. (i guess that's the only word he knows, but apparently, he doesn't know its meaning well)
Learning point 2: 后悔莫及
Didn't know which part of my brain went wrong.. Simply have no idea why I took up this job, prob to earn some bucks. Wah, but these bucks are really difficult to earn! Besides having to shout because of the noise level, the event simply start 1 hr 45 min later and prolonged for ard 1 hour.. So we ended up going home at 2+.. Was still on the cab at 3am you know! Didn't know why they have such poor time management.. and the show is totally JIALAT..
There was a time whereby the screens were being off.. and A LOT of people crowded in front, and made a lot of noise! And they were very difficult to 'invite' back to their seats.. They got a 1001 reasons for you..
And ya, we stood for about 9 hours, and without water for about 7 hours.. TORTUROUS!
And yeps, standing for 9 hours is a tough chore alright! To the extent that I wanna do some somersaults to ease the strain on my leg.. Or prob a handstand would be nice? Not sure if I can do it though! And I know people like Sharon would like this very creative idea and join in the fun too right?
Oh, but a funny thing to note is.. When a human works beyond his/her ability, he/she will not act like what a normal working person should be, and therefore, will perform tasks which shouldn't be performed. Like.. I was practically smsing in front of patrons and after that I made a call too. =D
2 Securities, who were supposed to stop people from photography/videography, were taking photos of the show too! HAHAHAHAHA! Really amazing securities!
Anyway, this post is to remind me NOT TO WORK FOR SUCH AWARD CEREMONY EVER AGAIN. WISE UP, WEILIN.
